Installing Secure Factory Service

Secure Factory Service runs on three nodes, or hosts, as a cluster, to provide high availability.

Each node hosts the following components:

  • Secure Factory Service.
  • Secure Factory Admin Service.
  • HSM Service.
  • MongoDB Database Instance.

To install Secure Factory Service:

  1. Fulfill the prerequisites and complete the setup steps.
  2. Configure the Secure Factory Service cluster.
  3. Initialize the HSM client service.
  4. Install and run Secure Factory Service on the first node.
  5. Install and run Secure Factory Service on additional nodes.
  6. Install the Root of Factories service (optional).
